Christopher Craig Daniels, 73, passed away on March 30, 2026.


Chris was born on December 25, 1952 in Hawthorne, CA to Berniece and Harry Daniels. 


He later moved to Missouri and Washington State and eventually to Colorado Springs.  In 1972 he enlisted in the US Army.  He served at Ft. Meade, Maryland and in Korea until 1979. Professionally he was a paralegal, and later worked as a retail clerk at King Soopers in the Springs.


Chris loved Bluegrass Festivals and playing with “Oasis.” Chris was a guitarist and songwriter.

He was a Black Diamond skier, cross country skier, hiker and loved camping with his friends and all of his Cocker Spaniels.


Chris is survived by his wife, Karen; sister Dena Olson, Niece Kaley Olson and partner John Amacher, C Jay Olson along with many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.


Chris was preceded in death his parents and his brother Bruce.


Chris was always joking around, he was full of fun and love.  He was a great husband and best friend.


A celebration of Chris's Life will be held at Memorial Park in Woodland Park on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 11:00 am.  Please join us for music and stories and military honors, followed by lunch and fellowship.  The celebration will take place at Gazebo G off of Lake Avenue in Memorial Park (not the big one by the lake).  Please bring your camp chair and a memory of Chris to share.
