Cheryl Fitzwater Obituary

  On February 11, 2024, Cheryl Jean Pearson Fitzwater's battle with uterine cancer came to an end in Woodland Park, Colorado and her spirit departed this earthly plane. She was 70 years of age and lived in Cripple Creek, CO with her husband, Randall Ray Fitzwater, and their dog Badgey.

      Cheryl was born in Juliet, Illinois on December 21, 1953 to Arthur Leroy Pearson and Maxine Jean Wilson. She had an older brother, Douglas Carl, who died days old, and an older sister, Christina Lynn. She attended Central High School in Davenport, Iowa where she fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Randy. They started “going steady” on October 31,1968  then moved to Colorado in 1973 and married in Colorado Springs on May 24, 1975.

      She worked as a waitress in the beginning of her adult life, starting with Red Top, and then 23 years at  Hungry Farmer where she belonged to a wonderful crew of friends that soon became family.  At the age of 42 she earned her name of certification through the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy and practiced her healing hands for the next 20+ years. Her hobbies included music, attending hundreds of concerts, gardening, her flowerbeds, cooking, crystals & gemstones, and unique sterling silver jewelry. She also enjoyed traveling to beaches, hot springs, metaphysical fairs, spending time with family, grandchildren, baking cookies weekly, reading books, taking hikes, and walks at their cabin. She was also known for hanging clothes on the line (even in the winter), giving therapeutic Swedish massages, and her beautiful house plants!

     She is survived by her spouse, Randall and their daughters Lindse and Kimra Fitzwater. She also has four grandchildren Mikala, Aleyah, and Romyn Tomkins and Xydian Rae Aries, and nieces and nephews. Her parents, brother and sister are predeceased.

     Memorial Services will be held for Cheryl Jean Pearson Fitzwater on March 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM  in the Little Chapel of the Hills church at 69 CO Rd. 5, Divide CO 80814. An announcement will be made soon for the upcoming celebration of life party.

A Letter From Heaven
When tomorrow starts without me
and I’m not there to see;
if the sun should rise and find your eyes
all filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn’t cry
the way you did today;
while thinking of the many
things we didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me
as much as I love you;
and each time you think of me,
I know you’ll miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me,
don’t think we’re far apart;
for every time you think of me,
I’m right here in your heart

     "I was chosen to be a healer on our planet Earth I inspired people by reminding them you can create your own reality and that thoughts are real things  I love you all, and will always be here in some form or another Who knows how long before I return! Cya Later"  - Cheryl
