Carol Eileen Burke Obituary
Our precious mother, Carol Eileen Burke (81, of Wheat Ridge, CO), who was a true angel on Earth, took her wings to heaven on August 7, 2023.
Carol was born in Denver, CO to Roy and Eileen Newton. In 1960, she married William Francis Burke (Ret. Denver Police Officer - who preceded her in death). She is survived by her two children, William Brian Burke (his wife, Kimberly and daughter Paulina Kay) and Vickie Lynn Cooper (her husband, N. Kyle and daughter and son-in-law Kaci Dawn and Donald Dilliplane). She is also survived by her sister, Mardell Latiolais, and preceded in death by her sister, Linda Breech.
Carol was the proud and successful owner of Lady Sue’s Flowers in Lakewood, Colorado. She considered her customers her friends. When she sold her shop, she worked for St. Anthony’s Hospital, and she recently retired from the floral department for King Soopers. She was a hard worker, had a quick wit, gave her children every opportunity she could, and enjoyed an occasional, good margarita. She has many, many great friends and family members who helped care for her during her battle with cancer (we are thankful for each and every one of you!). She is, by far, the strongest and most giving person we have ever met. She will be dearly missed.
A private service will be held with immediate family, graveside at Ft. Logan, in the near future.
