Carmen G. “Carmina” Wilson Gutierrez, known as “Mina” to her friends, passed away suddenly following a car accident on November 17, 2025, at the age of 25. She was born on February 14, 2000, in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala.
Carmina grew up in Greenfield, Indiana, graduating from Greenfield-Central High School in 2018, where she was active in the color guard, marching band, drama productions, and played piano, clarinet, and marimba. She also attended art classes at Ivy Tech. In her childhood she enjoyed soccer, Kindermusik, dance, basketball, reading, and caring for her many pets—including rabbits, hamsters, fish, and her beloved cats.
She worked as an EKG/Cardiac-Telemetry Monitor Technician for a traveling healthcare agency. She lived in Villa Hills, Kentucky, before moving to Colorado Springs to serve at Penrose Hospital.
Carmina grew up attending Park Chapel Christian Church and accepted Jesus as her Savior in 2013 during a retreat at Rainbow Camp.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred Wilson and Marcia Wilson. She is survived by her parents, Rodney G. and Carmen D. Wilson, grandparents, Garth and Elaine John, along with many uncles, aunts, and cousins and numerous friends who cherished her.
Carmina will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
A celebration of Carmina’s life will be planned and announced at a later date.
