Bryan, 65, passed away suddenly in the comfort of his home in Divide, CO.
Bryan was born in Mitchell, SD to Deloss and Betty Sambo. Due to his father’s involvement in the military, the family moved many times over his young life until settling in Blue Springs, Missouri. He was raised in the Methodist faith and attended Sunday school in his youth. Bryan was a man of God even though he did not participate in organized religion in his adult years.
Bryan took part in several different sports during his academic years. His favorite being a baseball pitcher - south Paw - and even attended the Royals training camp.
Bryan enjoyed working in sales for the commercial construction industry. He met and connected with many people who respected and admired him. He lived in several places in Colorado and even a year in California for his job. He did much traveling for his position and finally settled in Divide, CO with his then wife, Connie. Bryan even traveled to Hawaii for a convention and fell in love with the state, making it his favorite vacation spot.
Being a history buff, Bryan liked to collect antiques and had a passion for old radios, lightning rod balls, and WW2 memorabilia. He also enjoyed Chevy muscle cars of the 70’s.
Bryan’s favorite time was spent with his beloved dogs, Abby and Ruby. He loved Abby and she was his comfort when Connie passed away. Ruby’s puppy antics kept him laughing – her specialty being stealing tissues - box included.
Bryan was a quiet man who held his friendships close to his heart. He was big bear of a man who would do anything for anyone and would expect nothing in return. Everyone who met him remembered him.
Bryan had a romantic side few knew. After first meeting his current wife, he was smitten and would wait on the road in his truck with Abby as Brenda drove by. With God’s help, he won her over and they were married on Cope Island in Spring Valley surrounded by family and friends on September 24, 2022.
Bryan is survived by his adoring wife, Brenda and faithful companions, Abby & Ruby. He also has many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is proceeded in death by his wife Connie (2020), Mother Betty (2010), Father Deloss (1989) and infant sister Cindy Lou (1957).
Service and reception are being held at Our Lady of the wood Catholic Church on December 13 at 11am.
