Brenden Weaver Obituary

Brenden Barry Weaver, son of Leslie Christine (Smith) Wells and the late Barry Tab Weaver, died suddenly on December 1, 2024 in his home in Victor, CO. Brenden was born August 10th, 1978 in Ogden, Utah. He attended schools in Weber County, Utah and White Pine High School, in Ely, NV.  Brenden received multiple trade certificates for Computer Science, Security, and Mining.

Brenden entered the mining industry in his early twenties, and grew to be passionate and successful in his field. His co-workers nicknamed him Sparky, because “like a spark plug: through all the car accidents, he somehow survived”. His nickname also stuck because of his notorious red hair and beard. He became so successful in mining, that by the end of his career he had mastered every piece of machinery, and every position a mine could offer. Brenden was known by many for his generosity, kind heart, thoughtfulness, sense of humor, quiet & observant nature, open mind, and vast intelligence. No one was a stranger, and he had friends from ages 1 to 99. He loved everyone and was always willing to help out, teach, and give of his time and resources.

Brenden had many things he loved, including: building computers, being a DJ, cars (especially BMWs, Mustangs and Subarus), gaming, music, skateboarding, all animals, small towns (especially Victor, CO and Ely, NV), gemstones, all things caramel, finding “treasures”, thrifting, ice cream, and his family & friends.

In 1998, Brenden met the love of his life, Crystal Brown. This union brought their daughter Jade into the world. Although they had separated, they had shared a strong bond of love, friendship, and support throughout the rest of Brenden’s life. Brenden also had maintained a strong bond with his daughter. He was a great dad.

He is survived by his daughter, Jade Weaver; his mother and step-father, Chris & Rick Wells; his sister and brother-in-law, Brittney & Scott Nosker; his niece and nephew, Brinlie & Grayson Nosker; his grandmother, June Thurston; his Aunts and Uncles: Sue Randall, Jeanette & Tony Vigil, Kelly & Patti Smith, Tracy & Teri Weaver, and Darcy & Craig Knight; numerous cousins, and too many friends to count.

He was preceded in death by his father Barry Weaver; his grandfathers: Arlin Smith, Mark Weaver, Archie Thurston, & Nolan Karchner; his grandmother, Karen Kartchner; his uncle, Corey Weaver; and his aunt, Wendy Chase.

The family would like to give a special thank you for all of the love, kindness, and support given to Brenden by his close friends and family; throughout his life, and in the event of his death. Know he loved you.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 12th, 2024 from 11:30am to 3:30pm at the Barn Community Center in West Haven, Utah.  (3785 West 3750 South, West Haven, Utah 84401).  Additional Celebrations of Life will be held in Victor, CO and Ely, NV at a later time, TBD.
