Betty Ann Elzey, born on May 2, 1945, departed this life on September 24, 2024, in Woodland Park, Colorado. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty was known for her fiery spirit and love for family.
Betty relished spending time with her loved ones and often expressed her creativity through crochet and home remodeling and decorating. Her culinary favorites included tomatoes & noodles as well as green chili and burritos- a secret recipe learned from her late Husband, Marvin, which she often prepared for family gatherings.
A lover of music, Betty enjoyed Elvis and country western tunes. Notably, she had a unique experience of playing street ball with Elvis during the filming of one of his movies, a cherished memory that she carried with her.
Betty married Marvin H. Elzey in 1982, who sadly passed away in May of 2003. She is survived by her Sons, James M. Ellis, Marvin Dean Elzey (Wife Martha Elzey), Michael Corey Elzey (Wife Caitlin Cook); Daughters, Traci Ellis-Pine and Michelle Cook (Husband James Cook), Krystal Elzey (Husband Christopher Harris).
She was the proud grandmother of Andrew Cabot, Thania Cummings, Matt Cook (Wife Myana Cook), Justin Cook, Skye Elzey, Laura Grant, Kaylee Cook, and Jakobe Barringer, and she cherished her great-grandchildren, Brendan Cook, Shane Cook, Matthias Cook, Majestik Cook, Catalina Cummings, and Daniel Barcenas.
A Southern Baptist by faith, Betty's spirit and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
