Azenith Hilda (Downare) Larson

Azenith “Zenie” or “Zee” Larson, 80, passed away after a short illness in Casa Grande, AZ  on Sunday, February 19, 2022.

Zenie was born on June 25, 1941 in Denver, Colorado to Phillip Stanley and Ester Emelia Downare.  Zee and her siblings - Vaughn Downare, Aletha Copeland, Richard Downare, Timothy Downare, Lorna Downare - were raised in the Denver area, and Zee attended Englewood High School.

Zenie was married to George A. Brown from 1959 – 1976; Donald L. Spaulding from 1980 – 1995; and Raymond Leroy Larson from 1996 – Present.

She served Jesus with her whole heart for her entire life and tried to do whatever she could to be a witness for Christ.

 “Choose you this day whom you will serve.” - Joshua 24:15

Zenie is survived by her husband, Lee Larson of Arizona City, AZ; her son, Michael Brown of Henderson, NV; her son, Phillip Mitchell Brown of Mesa, AZ; her daughter, Traci Yvette Cobb of Arizona City, AZ; her son, Matthew Scot Brown of Gilbert, AZ; her 28 grandchildren, her 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother, Timothy Downare.

Zenie is preceded in death by her parents, Ester and Phillip Downare; her sister, Aletha Copeland; her brother, Vaughn Downare; her brother, Richard Downare; her sister, Lorna Downare; and her grandson, George Michael Lewis Brown.

Graveside service:
Zenie will be laid to rest in her family cemetery the Downare Memorial Cemetery in Hartsel, Colorado on March 12, 2022 @ 1:00pm.
