Andrew Johnathan Whyte

Andrew Johnathan Whyte passed away on June 5th, 2023, at the age of 24 with his loving family by his side. Born December 8th, 1998, Andy lived his rambunctious young life in Colorado Springs, CO close to his parents, brothers, and sisters. Andy truly lived the best life he could live and lived it to the fullest. He is survived by his loving parents Elsa Ortega and Javier Whyte.

Andy grew up in San Diego, CA where he played football at Olympian High School; where he was known for his amazing talents, skill, leadership, and potential to do great things as an athlete. He loved being on the football field. You could tell that he had a true love and passion for the game. Ever since he was a little boy, playing for Valencia Park, he loved putting on that gear and playing football. A game he continued to love through high school.

Andy was full of dreams and had many aspirations to do great things. From wanting to play college and professional football, to wanting to start his own business. His biggest goal was to one day buy his mother her very own home. He has always been a protector; a protector of family and friends. He was a very caring person with an enormous heart. He lit up every room he entered with his beautiful smile. Andy would never hesitate to help anyone whenever someone was in need. He was known by all for being a gym rat. He lived in the gym because it was such a strong and important part of his life and who he was.

He had a great sense of humor and had a spirit that could cheer up anyone. He was generous, loyal, brave and considered a hero for his many heroic acts. He was clever and filled with a wealth of knowledge. Knowledge that was beyond his years. These are just a few of the many things that made Andy such a special person. Such a special person, that the moment you first meet him, he left an ever-lasting impression on your heart.

Andy will undoubtedly be remembered for the love he had for his family. Family was everything to him. The values and love instilled in him by his family run deep like roots to his soul. If you knew him, you knew it. Andy is a person that will live forever in the hearts of all those that loved him. He will be missed dearly.
