Johnny’s Gone Fishing
Albert John Lorenz, 85, passed away August 21, 2021. Johnny was born on October 8,1935 in Victor, Colorado to Margaret and George Lorenz. He graduated Victor High School.
Johnny served as a Shipfitter-Metal Smith II in the United States Navy, aboard a Rescue Salvage Ship voyaged to the Arctic Circle, Phillipines and Pearl Harbour. He was released from active duty in 1959.
After spending 30 years with the Operating Engineers as a Heavy Equipment Welder Mechanic for construction, he retired after 30 years. After that he worked as a security guard for C & D Security at the Colorado Springs City Yard until he retired at 65, enjoying real retirement.
His favorite hobby was fishing and camping at Trout Haven Lost Dutchman Resort.
He is survived by his wife Ruthie Schreck Lorenz, his son Albert Joe, stepsons George, John, Thomas Kadlec. His sisters Peggy Rankin and Marilyn Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Sunnyside Cemetary, Victor CO September 8th at 1pm.
