Christopher S. (Tad  -  “and don’t ask me how I got that!”) Litwin died at home with his wife and daughter by his side.  He passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the age of 66, following his fight with cancer.

Tad, the oldest of five boys, was born August 16, 1953 in Florida to William and Gilberte (Jill) Litwin. Tad’s childhood was spent in a number of states and countries, during and following his father’s service in the US Navy.

He was the loving husband of Laurie, married June 26, 1987 at the Church in the Wildwood in Green Mountain Falls, CO and the devoted father of Anna.  Tad is preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his wife, daughter, father and brothers; Peter (Mariangela, Daniel, Isabella), Dennis, Stephan and Matt (Amanda). On August 4, 2019 Tad gave his daughter away in marriage to Jeremy Dole, as it was her dream to have both of her parents at her wedding.

Tad is also remembered for being a Girl Scout leader in Teller County, being active in the Lighter Side of Christmas Parade, well known for his beautiful work in construction and for the pride he took in being a professional waiter in fine dining. Tad loved teaching his daughter about hunting, fishing, and gun safety, and he took many young people “under his wing” to share his wide-ranging knowledge.  He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and eating good food with his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life to share memories and visit with friends and family will be held at the Church in the Wildwood in Green Mountain Falls on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Light lunch provided.

In lieu of flowers, Tad requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

My sincere condolences to both you, Laurie, and to Anna. All three of you have always been a part of my extended family. Not only did Tad work with Marv, but he also worked with and showed my two boys his wonderful carpenter skills. He was way too young to leave this earth so soon. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you my friends.
