Kipp Douglas Keating, 33, passed away after a long illness in the comfort of his home, surrounded by family and close friends on January 21, 2019, in Colorado Springs, CO.  Kipp was born March 9, 1985 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Kipp is survived by his devoted wife, Brooke; loving parents Kipp and Cindy, mother, Deb; grandparents; Rae Schliinz, Mike and MaryJo Keating; beloved sister, Amanda (Shane), cherished daughters, Leaonna and Lily and step daughters, Breann, Bailey and Bridgette; loving uncle Todd; aunt Dana, niece, Alexis and many good friends including Casey, Dillion, Ira, Aaron, Robby and Mark.

Growing up, Kipp and his sister, Amanda, were best friends. They did everything together. Kipp would show his love to Amanda, and later to his daughters with his “love taps” on the top of their head. Kipp married Brooke Theide in 2010 and they created a large loving joint family with their 5 children.

Kipp held many jobs, but the one job he was most proud of and loved was at Perkins Motors. Kipp was a hard worker and this was recognized at Perkins. He started as a Courtesy Driver and progressed to a Lube Tech Team Leader. He knew everyone in the building and came to work every day with a smile on his face and a “go get ‘em attitude”.

Kipp’s passions include riding dirt bikes, camping, the hot springs, and family vacations to the Sand Dunes and Moab. He also enjoyed working on his trucks and helping others. Kipp took advantage of every day. He loved to host BBQ’s and garage parties with his friends and family. His favorite TV shows were the Simpsons, Cops, Unsolved Mysteries, and How it was Made.

Kipp’s family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The prayers have been answered; Kipp now has peace and comfort. God Bless

It is with a heavy heart that we offer our deepest condolences to Kipp's family. We had some good laughs together with other friends back in our CCV school days. What a shocking loss! We are praying for comfort and strength for each of you.

We remember Kip when he was young and going to Cripple Creek school. We lived on the ranch on Teller One in Florissant (11804) and often saw him cutting across our ranch to get home. It was fun to see him and talk with him. He'd wave at us when he saw us in the dining room window. I'd often watch for him to make sure he got across safely. It's good to know he enjoyed his life after school days and ended up married with a beautiful large family after all these years. The news of his parting was a shock. We are very sad over your loss. May Jesus wrap you in His loving arms and give all of you comfort and hope at this sad time. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who loved him and may good memories bring you peace. With Many Hugs, Jim and Marlane Smutka

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one! Many have been encouraged by learning what the Bible teaches about the condition of the dead and God’s promise of a resurrection. I hope you find comfort from Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10; Hosea 13:14; and Titus 1:2. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
