Barbara Jean Hoeben Wales was born on 11-25-1942 in Miami Florida to Margaret Lunsford Hoeben and
Woodrow Wilson Hoeben. She died in Colorado Springs Colorado on Sunday September 2 2018 at 1005 pm in Memorial Hospital Central. She was afflicted with several illnesses, a long term wheelchair confinement from Spinal Stenosis, and finally kidney failure that took her life.
Barbara has played piano for 60+ years, most of that a pianist in the local church wherever she lived. She then moved on to being a florist for the next 20 years. She pursued her bachelors degree for alcohol and drug counseling in the mid to late 90's and became Barbara Wales LCDC, CART after graduation.She went on to work for the Texas Department of Corrections parole violator unit until she retired in 2007.
She is survived by her 2 younger brothers: Ray and Larry Hoeben who live in the Carolina's; 2 children: Gregory Scott Wales (Greg) and Maricon Wales in Colorado Springs and Laura Wales in Guffey Colorado; and and 3 grandchildren: Gregory Scott Wales Jr.(Scott) in California, Sabrina Renee Wales in Hawaii, and Adrian Michael Rollo. 
And last but not least Sam 14 and Luna 3.
Barbara married Larry Lee Wales, born 08-10-1933-died 03-18-1995, in Alabama in 1967. 
Mountain Memorial Funeral Home in Divide Colorado is where viewing and services will be held in the following order.
Open Casket
Family Viewing Saturday 9-8-2018 11:00-11:30 am
Public Viewing Saturday 9-8-2018 11:30-12 noon
Closed casket funeral service Saturday , Sept 8, 2018 12 pm-till when we stop.
Service will be conducted by Pastor Tom Schryver. Barbara will be buried at a later date in Lake George.
The family would like to thank Mountain Memorial Funeral Home for all their guidance at this necessary but awful period of our lives. Also thank you to all of our friends and loved ones who cared so much.
I have absolutely no doubt where my mother's soul resides now...
