Loving son, husband, and father, Ernie passed away suddenly at work in Cripple Creek on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. He was 62 years young. He loved his family very much.

Ernie is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughter McKayla, his son Cody (Alexandria) and grandson Jackson Cody, his parents Alice and Ernie, and his brother and sisters Karen, Katrina, Ed, and Kay. He was born in Spokane, WA on June 12, 1956 to Alice and Ernie Stoltenberg. Nancy and Ernie met in Ellicottville, NY. They had 35 years of love and adventures.

Ernie lived his life the way we all should: full of love and laughter. He worked as an erosion control specialist. He loved the outdoors – taking hikes and gardening. He was a man of few words. He could brighten up a room with a witty comment. He was loved by so many and although taken too soon, he will remain in our hearts forever.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 am at 8510 Otto, East Otto Road, Cattaraugus, NY.  The service will take place in the woods behind the residence.  Street parking will be available to the right of the house, with shuttle service available.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Any Length Recovery Community either via website www.Anylength.org or sent to Any Length Recovery, 4742 Broad St., Sumter, SC 29154
