Richard Allen Deem

Richard Deem, 60, passed away unexpected from heart failure on May 2, 2019.  He was born in Witchita Falls, Texas on May 3, 1958.  His mother, Betty, and step-father, Mike Ketterling raised Richard and his siblings Andrea, Debbie and Jeff with love and caring.

 

Richard, resident of Lake George, CO; was the longtime owner of Vic's Heating and Air in Woodland Park, CO.  Richard enjoyed working, but also taking vacations with his grandkids.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He did both in Colorado and Alaska.  In Alaska, he got a large moose that was noted in the Boone and Crockett Book.

 

Richard is survived by his loving wife Patricia Schemel, beloved children: Jackie (Jeremy) Meyer of South Carolina; Richard Deem of Washington state and step-daughter Amanda Schemel of Colorado; loving sister Debbie and brother Jeff (Alison); cherished grandchildren: Jersie and Jamison Meyer; Alexia and Lochlan Maneck and Ricara Deem.  He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

 

Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Betty, step-father, Mike and his sister, Andrea.

 

Richard was a truly loved husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He will be forever loved.

 

Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 4 - 6 pm at Mountain Memorial Funeral Home, 51 County Road 5, Divide, CO  80814.

 

Memorial Service will be held Friday, 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at Little Chapel of the Hills, 69 County Road 5, Divide, CO  80814.
