Hoyt completed his earthly journey on October 23, 2019 at his home in Woodland Park.

He was born to Elizabeth Francis Stewart and Dwight N. Eells, Sr. on November 6, 1934 in Newton, Kansas.  Hoyt graduated from Newton High School and Kansas State University.  And then went on to serve his country as a first lieutenant with the surface to air missile unit in the US Army from 1956 - 1958.  

Hoyt is survived by his wife of 54 glorious years, Lydia Etta (Klein) Eells.  Beloved brother to Dwight N. Eells, Jr.; cherished uncle of Sidney Eells, Stewart (Sharon) Eells and Shelly Eells, all of Topeka, Kansas.

Hoyt was a faithful man and member of Mt. View United Methodist Church for many years.

A celebration of life service will be held on November 1, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mt. View United Methodist Church, 1101 Rampart Range Road, Woodland Park, CO  80863.  Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
