Music by The Piano Brothers

Treva was born in Pueblo, CO on December 20, 1970 to Ralph and Donna Thomas.  She attended grade school through high school in Falcon, CO and graduated in 1989.  After high school she attended UCCS for one year and then CSU in Fort Collins where she graduated with a BA in graphic design.  Later she got two master’s degrees, one in business administration and one in accounting from Colorado Tech University in Colorado Springs.

Treva’s first job was at the Gazette Telegraph in Colorado Springs.  She spent time in New Mexico and Florida.  Then in 2001, she returned home to Colorado Springs and got her masters degrees.  With her new degrees in hand, she began working for IT&T.  She had just started a new job with UCCS doing accounting.  She seemed so happy about it.  The best part was working in a congenial atmosphere.

Treva was a kind, gentle person and very loyal.  She loved Colorado – the mountains, hiking and biking.  She enjoyed decorating.  She loved the beauty of things and people.  She had a special friend, Tracy.  They spent many enjoyable times together.  Treva had a special pet named Flora.  They were best friends.  Treva’s relationship with God was private and played a big part in her life.

She is survived by her parents: Ralph and Donna Thomas; aunts: Linda Swope and Mary Lou Struebing; first cousins: Strider Swope (Melissa) and Donatella, Allison Struebing and Angel, and special friend Tracy Sharples, many cousins and Flora.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents:  Richard and Vera (Feyerherm) Struebing and John and June (Walker) Thomas, uncle Harold Struebing and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Treva’s memory to TCRAS no-kill animal shelter in Divide, CO.

Ralph and Donna,

I love Treva and you with all my heart. She is the closest thing I had to a sister and I considered her my sibling, not just a cousin. She will always be in our hearts and I will be here for you because this is a pain that nobody should have to endure.

Strider Swope
